Guidelines for international travellers in India:

• All Travellers must submit a self health declaration form on Air Suvidha portal.
• They must upload the negative RT PCR report which should not be earlier than 72 hours on Air Suvidha portal.

• Only such passengers who are arriving to exigency of death in their family are allowed without negative RT PCR report.

• Thermal screening will be conducted in respect of all passengers.

• If any passenger found symptomatic on arrival at the time of thermal screening they must be isolated and sent for immediate medical treatment.

• Only those passengers are allowed to board and deboard who have submitted their self declaration and RT PCR report on Air Suvidha portal.
• Those passengers who are traveling India from international flights must register on newdelhiairport.in. Registration should be done before 72 hours of departure.

• All travellers coming from the UK, South Africa and Brazil will be allowed to exit the airport only after confirmation of COVID-19 negative test report at the airport. They must undergo another test on day 7 at their own expense.

• Passengers arriving from Afghanistan, Bahrain, France, Germany, Iraq, Kuwait, Netherlands, Oman, Qatar, Russian Fed., Ukraine or United Arab Emirates are subject to a Coronavirus (COVID-19) molecular test upon arrival at their own expense.

State-wise Domestic Travel Guidelines

Andaman Nicobar

Health screening:

• Thermal screening is mandatory for all arriving passengers
• All incoming passengers must have a negative RT-PCR test report issued via ICMR approved lab. The test should have been taken within 48 hours of departure.
• It is mandatory to undergo a RAT test for all arriving passengers

Quarantine:

• Passengers will have to follow 7 days home quarantine, even their RT-PCR test is negative.
• If any passenger tested negative then will be sent to intuitional quarantine for further treatment.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• All passengers must have Arogya Setu App in their mobile.
• RT PCR test report within 48 hour of journey will be mandatory. If any passenger does not have an RT PCR report, they will be sent back to the origin the same day.
• Passengers will have to pick their checked - in luggage at the test centers.
• Those passengers who are not willing to follow the instructions must be fined 5,000 INR each time.
• All tourism activity is suspended till the further notice.
• Hand written RT PCR reports will not be acceptable.

Andhra Pradesh

Health screening:

• Thermal screening will be done for all coming passengers.
• RT PCR test may be conducted as per direction of health officials.

Quarantine:

• There is no need for quarantine for domestic travellers.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• Submission of self health declaration form at the Suvidha portal is mandatory for all passengers.
• All passengers must have the Arogya Setu app in their phone.
• All customers are required to register himself at Spandana website www.spandana.ap.gov.in

Asam

Health screening:

• All arriving passengers will have to undergo a RAT test free of cost.
• If the RAT test is negative then passengers will have to undergo RT-PCR test itself.
• If the RAT test is positive then passengers will have to go under self isolation or get admitted in hospital for further treatment.
• After swab collection passengers will be able to leave the airport with instruction to stay on home quarantine till the result comes. If the report is negative the passenger can continue their activity.
• If the result is negative, passengers will have to go under home isolation or get admitted in hospital for further treatment.

Quarantine:

• 7 days home quarantine is mandatory for all passengers even their RT-PCR test is negative.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• All passengers must have the Arogya Setu app in their phone.
• All passengers will have to pay for the RT-PCR test.
• *Government officials and those who are traveling for medical treatment or those who are traveling for family bereavement are exempted from mandatory quarantine.

Bihar

Health screening:

• Thermal screening will be compulsory for all passengers
• Passengers traveling from Maharstra, Punjab and Kerala must have RT-PCR negative test reports within hours of departure.
• For other sectors RAT test is mandatory which is free of cost.

Quarantine:

• 10 days quarantine is mandatory for all arriving passengers from Kerala, Punjab and Maharashtra.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• All passengers must have the Arogya Setu app in their phone.
• Passengers must have a RAT/RT-PCR negative test report or final vaccination certificate (Valid after 14 days of second dose of vaccination).
• Those passengers who do not have negative RT PCR reports arriving from Kerala, Punjab and Maharashtra will not be allowed to board from their origin.

Special guidelines for Gaya only:

• Those passengers who are coming from Delhi & NCR, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab must have a negative report for RT PCR, approved by ICMR lab. The test report should be earlier than 72 hours.
• Final certification of vaccination is also valid after 14 days of the second dose.
• Travellers from Delhi & NCR, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab must follow 10 days of mandatory quarantine.

Chandigarh

Health screening:

• Thermal screening is mandatory for all travellers.

Quarantine:

. No quarantine.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• Aroyga Setu app is mandatory for all travelers.
• All travellers must fill a health declaration form upon arrival.
• All passengers must register at COVA Punjab app

Chattisgarh

Health screening:

• Every passenger must follow thermal screening upon arrival.
• All passengers travelling Chattisgarh must have a negative report for COVID-19.
• If any passenger is traveling without RT PCR negative report then the will must undergo RT PCR test upon arrival free of cost.

Quarantine:

• There is 7 days mandatory quarantine for all passengers.
• Those passengers who have a return ticket within 72 hours of arrival are exempted from mandatory quarantine.
• Symptomatic passengers will be sent to institutional quarantine until their test report is not available.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• Passengers must install Arogya Setu App and update their health status on the app.
• A negative report of RT PCR is compulsory to travel Chhattisgarh for all passengers.

Delhi

Health screening:

• Thermal screening is mandatory for all travellers in Delhi Airport.
• Random sample collection will be performed for all passengers. After sample collection they will be allowed to leave the airport.
• Travellers with onward connecting flights from Delhi are exempted from these rules.

Quarantine:

• COVID positive passengers must quarantine at home or hospital for 10 days
• 14 days mandatory home quarantine for those passengers who are coming from Maharashtra.
• Government and constitutional functionaries are exempted if they are asymptomatic. If they found symptomatic they will have to follow the protocol as per guidelines of health & ministry.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• Aroyga Setu app is mandatory for all travelers.
• If a passenger is traveling from Maharashtra they must carry an RT-PCR negative test report within 72 hours of arrival. The report must be from an ICMR approved lab.
• Passengers traveling without RT PCR report will undergo a test for COVID free of cost followed by home quarantine for 14 days.
• Passengers travelling from any city or airport of Maharashtra must have a negative COVID-19 test report from ICMR approved lab within 72 hours or follow 14 days of home quarantine.
• Infants and children below 5 years are exempted from testing.

Goa

Gujrat

Health screening:

• Thermal screening is mandatory for all travellers in Gujrat.
• For those passengers traveling without COVID-19 negative reports shall undergo test at the airport at their own expenses.

Quarantine:

• There is 7 days of home quarantine and 14 days of self monitoring for all passengers. After 14 days they will have to update their health status at SMC COVID-19 tracker app.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• All passengers must download the Arogya Setu App.
• RT-PCR negative test report is compulsory for all passengers. The report should not be earlier than 72 hours. The test must be done at an ICMR approved lab.
• If the passengers are not having a negative RT PCR test report then they will have to undergo the COVID-19 test at the airport at their own cost. Passengers will not be allowed to leave the airport until the test results come.
• Below 12 years of age children are exempted from COVID-19 testing rule.

Haryana

Health screening:

• Thermal Screening is mandatory for all passengers upon arrival
• COVID test is not compulsory

Quarantine:

• Non
• Symptomatic passengers must perform further tests and get hospitalization for isolation.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• All passengers must have downloaded the Arogya Setu App. Update the health status on the app.

Himachal Pradesh

Health screening:

• Thermal Screening is mandatory for all passengers upon arrival
• COVID test is not compulsory

Quarantine:

• Non

Passenger’s Obligation:

• All passengers must have downloaded the Arogya Setu App.
• The travellers arriving from Delhi & NCR, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Gujrat Punjab and Uttar Pradesh must carry the RT PCR negative test report. The report must be 72 hours earlier than arrival.

Jammu & Kashmir

Health screening:

• RT-PCR test is compulsory except defence person

Quarantine:

• There is no quarantine for RT PCR negative tested passengers.
• 14 days home quarantine if passenger is tested positive

Passenger’s Obligation:

• All passengers must have downloaded the Arogya Setu App.
• On arrival passengers required to fill the ICMR health form
• At the airport passenger is required to undergo COVID-19 test.

Jharkhand

Health screening:

• Thermal Screening is mandatory for all passengers arriving from Kerala, Telangana and Maharstra upon arrival.
• RT-PCR negative test report is compulsory for all passengers. The report should not be earlier than 72 hours.

Quarantine:

• Symptomatic passengers will be tested for COVID-19 and if found positive need home quarantine or home isolation.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• All passengers must have downloaded the Arogya Setu App.
• Self monitoring for 14 days is advised
• All arriving passengers will have to fill the self declaration form to the state Health department at Ranchi.

Karnataka

Health screening:

• Thermal screening is mandatory for all travellers upon arriva

Quarantine:

• Non

Passenger’s Obligation:

• RT-PCR negative test report is compulsory for all passengers coming from Maharashtra, Punjab, Chandigarh and Kerala. The report should not be earlier than 72 hours.
• Arogya Setu app is mandatory to download on mobile.

Kerala

Health screening:

• Thermal screening is mandatory for all travellers
• RT PCR negative test report (Not earlier than 48 hours) is compulsory for all passengers, if any one is traveling without it. They will have to undergo RT PCR test upon arrival at their own cost.

Quarantine:

• 14 days home quarantine is mandatory for those passengers who are not willing to undergo RT PCR test.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• All passengers must register themselves at https://covid19jagratha.kerala.nic.in/ and get e-pass(Mandatory)
• Arogya Setu app is mandatory for all passengers.

Ladakh

Health screening:

• Thermal screening is mandatory for all travellers
• RT PCR negative test report not earlier than 96 hours before arrival is compulsory for all passengers

Quarantine:

• 7 days home quarantine is mandatory for passengers who don’t carry RT PCR reports. RT PCR test will be done at the end of the quarantine period. If the passenger tested positive then they will be sent to COVID facility center for further treatment.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• Every passenger must download the Arogya Setu App.
• To enter Ladakh passengers must carry a negative RT PCR report not earlier than 96 hours.

Madhya Pradesh

Health screening:

• Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.
• Those passengers who are coming from Maharashtra must have COVID-19 negative test report. The test should not be earlier than 48 hours.

Quarantine:

• 14 days home quarantine for those passengers who have developed COVID symptomes.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• Those passengers who are arriving from Maharashtra will have to download Indor 311 App. They will have to monitor themselves for self isolation.
• After 14 days all passengers will have to update their health status on Indor 311 App.
• Arogya Setu app is mandatory.

Manipur

Health screening:

• Thermal screening will be performed upon arrival for all travellers.
• COVID test is mandatory for all passengers arriving from Maharashtra and Kerala (Test will be free of cost).

Quarantine:

• None

Passenger’s Obligation:

• Installation of Arogya Setu App is mandatory for all passengers.

Maharashtra

Health screening:

• Thermal screening is required for all passengers.
• Passengers coming from Kerala, Goa, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Gujarat must have COVID-19 negative test reports.

Quarantine:

• No quarantine for asymptomatic passengers.
• For asymptomatic passengers, a left hand stamp is mandatory.
• Symptomatic passengers will be sent to the nearest COVID care center for further treatment.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• Arogya Setu App is compulsory for all passengers.
• Share the contact details with authorities by which in case the report is positive, the state officer will contact you.

Meghalaya

Health screening:

• All passengers will have to undergo thermal screening
• All incoming passengers must have a negative RT-PCR test report issued via ICMR approved lab not earlier than 48 hours of arrival.

Quarantine:

• COVID positive passengers must undergo 14 days quarantine and transferred to COVID facility center.

Mizoram

Health screening:

• Thermal screening will be done for all passengers on arrival

• 7 days home quarantine for all passengers even if the RAT report is negative

Nagaland

Health screening:

• All passengers will undergo thermal screening upon arrival

Quarantine:

• 7 days of institutional quarantine followed by 14 days of home quarantine for all passengers.

Odisha

Health screening:

• Antigen test is mandatory for the passengers of the age of 55 and above.
• Thermal screening will be done for all travellers.

Quarantine:

• 14 days compulsory home/institutional quarantine for passengers coming from West Bengal.
• 7 days home isolation for passengers traveling from Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Chatishgarh.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• All passengers must have the Arogya Setu app.
• RT PCR report is mandatory for passengers arriving from Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Chatishgarh.

Punjab

Health screening:

• All passengers will undergo thermal screening.
• RT PCR negative report is required for all international travellers (No compulsory for domestic passengers)

Quarantine:

• No Quarantine for domestic passengers.
• 7 days home quarantine for international passengers.

Rajasthan

Health screening:

Tamil Nadu

Health screening:

• Thermal screening will be conducted for all passengers
• Only symptomatic passengers will undergo RT PCR test upon arrival.

Quarantine:

• 7 days of home quarantine for passengers coming from Maharashtra and Kerala.
• 14 days of home quarantine and self monitoring for all passengers coming from other states and UT countries

Telangana

Health screening:

• Thermal screening will be conducted for all passengers

Tripura

Health screening:

• Mandatory health screening for all passengers.
• COVID test is compulsory for all passengers via state health officials free of cost.

Quarantine:

• 14 days home quarantine for all symptomatic passengers.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• All travellers must download the Arogya Setu app.
• Those passengers who intended to enter Bangladesh will be transported via Akhaura check post on payment basis.

Uttarakhand

Health screening:

• Thermal screening will be conducted for all passengers
• Free of cost COVID-19 test will be conducted for passengers coming from Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Delhi & NCR, and Rajasthan.

Quarantine:

• No quarantine for passengers coming for Uttarakhand for less than 7 days.
• Those passengers who are coming for more than 7 days will undergo home quarantine.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• It is Mandatory to register on http://smartcitydehradun.uk.gov.in for all passengers.
• All passengers will have to carry a negative RT PCR negative test report issued via ICMR approved lab within 72 hours.

Uttar Pradesh

Health screening:

• It is mandatory to undergo thermal screening for all travellers.
• Passengers arriving from Kerala and Maharashtra will be required to have a negative RT PCR report.

Quarantine:

• 7 days of institutional quarantine along with 7 days of home quarantine is compulsory for international passengers.
• For domestic passengers 14 days of home quarantine is compulsory.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• All passengers need to register on before leaving the arrival hall.
• Every passenger must install the Arogya Setu App.
• Symptomatic passengers will undergo RAT and RT PCR test free of cost via state authority.

West Bengal

Health screening:

• For all passengers thermal screening is compulsory.
• Symptomatic passengers will undergo COVID-19. Quarantine:

• 14 days home quarantine or self monitoring is required for all asymptomatic passengers.
• For symptomatic passengers quarantine will be decided as per their case via health authorities.

Passenger’s Obligation:

• All incoming passengers arriving from Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana and Karnataka must have a negative RT-PCR test report issued via ICMR approved lab not earlier than 72 hours of arrival.

What if I don’t have an RT PCR report while travelling via flight in India?
Answer: If any passenger is not having an RT PCR test report upon arrival in India. They will have to undergo RT PCR or RAT test at the airport at their own cost.

How much time before an international passenger will have to register at Delhi airport website if they will have to travel in India?

Is there any test which I should perform before boarding on flight in India?
Answer: Before boarding in flight all passengers must undergo RT PCR or RAT test. Only those passengers will be able to travel who have negative RT PCR test reports in India.

What is the protocol for Delhi when I am arriving from Maharashtra?
Answer: If you are arriving at Delhi airport from Maharashtra then you must have a negative RT PCR test report from ICMR approved lab. After thermal screening the passengers who found Covid-19 positive must undergo institutional quarantine for 10 days.

How can I get an e-pass for Kerala to travel there?

I have booked my flight to Rajasthan, what is the basic requirement to air travel there?
Answer: To air travel in Rajasthan all passengers must have Covid negative test report from ICMR approved lab. The test should not be performed earlier than 72 hours. You must wear a mask & hand gloves. Arogya Setu App in your mobile phone must be installed. You must submit a self health declaration form at Air Suvidha portal.

Quarantine is mandatory for air travel in India?
Answer: It may depend on state rules.every state does not ask for mandatory quarantine but if a passenger is symptomatic and found covid positive. In this situation they will have to follow quarantine rules as per the state guidelines.

I am traveling to Chhattisgarh and have my return air ticket within 72 hours of arrival. Do I have to undergo quarantine?
Answer: No, those passengers who have a return ticket within 72 hours of arrival are exempted from mandatory quarantine in Chhattisgarh.

What if any passenger is not having a negative RT PCR test report while air travel Gujarat?
Answer: If any passenger is not having a negative RT PCR test report then he/she will have to undergo the COVID-19 test at the airport at their own cost. Passengers will not be allowed to leave the airport until the test results come.

I am travelling due to death in my family, can I travel without a negative RT PCR test report?
Answer: It may depend on the state where you are travelling. You can read the state wise guideline here. (Link) Some states allow passengers in this situation to travel without a RT PCR report and some ask for a test upon arrival or mandatory home quarantine.

My wife is pregnant, is it safe to air travel?
Answer: No, as per guideline of Ministry of health and family welfare pregnant women should avoid air travel during Covid pandemic.

If any passenger found Covid positive in flight, what will happen?
Answer: During the thermal screening or RAT if any passenger found Covid positive will be sent for hospital isolation with Covid facility.

Can I use the washroom at the Delhi airport? Would it be safe for me?
Answer: Yes, of course. Delhi airport maintains sanitation and hygiene at washrooms round the clock.

Before air travel what are the things which I should take care of?
Answer: When you are ready to air travel in any part of India. You should follow some guidelines before boarding which are given here. Make sure you have installed the Arogya Setu App on mobile. You have done with web check-in Baggess tags are ready You have register at the state portal for e-pass (If required) You have uploaded your RT PCR negative test report at the Air Suvidha online portal along with a self health declaration form.

If a passenger is carrying final certification of vaccination, will they have to undergo quarantine or thermal screening?
Answer: Thermal screening upon arrival at the airport is mandatory for all passengers. If a passenger is having final certification of covid vaccination they can travel the state without RT PCR report. They do not need quarantine. (Certificate is only valid after 14 days of the second dose of vaccine).

What is the charge of Covid test in the airport of Bihar if I am not carrying the RT PCR report?
Answer: There are no charges for Covid test for passengers who are traveling without RT PCR test report at Gaya or Patna airport.

What is the procedure for symptomatic passengers at Delhi airport?
Answer: Symptomatic passengers must undergo 14 days of mandatory home or institutional quarantine. Apart from that they will have to follow the protocol as per guidelines of ministry of health and family welfare.
